Hugh E. Reid, Esq is a New York City general practitioner attorney with over a decade of expertise and knowledge of his practice. Reid uses a combination of logic and instinct to effectively provide experienced advocacy for his clients while being able to support them through unfamiliar, sometimes overwhelming, processes.
Client satisfaction isn’t some empty slogan. As a New Yorker of Caribbean descent Reid puts all his skills to work to protect his clients, whether he's defending them at trial or partnering with them to find ways to avoid future problems. His responsiveness and legal knowledge are two of the many reasons clients turn to him for solutions, where he uses a level-headed approach to help clients manage rapidly evolving situations.
Prior to starting his solo legal practice, in Brooklyn New York, Reid was an educator in the NYC public high school system. Preceding his return to New York to teach, Reid was a Junior associate at the Law firm of Steptoe and Johnson in West Virginia, where he gained valuable experience. Outside of his legal practice, Reid has an outstanding resume as both a former international track and field athlete. In his prime, Reid was a 15 time National Champion, having competed internationally for both Barbados and the United States.
Reid graduated from the Commonwealth College at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2001, as a Commonwealth Scholar. In 2001, Reid was named a W.E.B. Dubois Scholar and he accepted a full scholarship to West Virginia University College of Law where he was President of the Black Law Students Association, a Brown Payne Fellow, a member of the Journal of Law and Technology. In 2004, he received his Juris Doctorate from the West Virginia University College of Law. He is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
